Originally from El Paso, TX, Craig McGuire moved to Austin in 2000 with his younger brother and quickly fell in love with the city’s charm and outdoor lifestyle. In 2006, Craig began working in real estate finance and residential construction. His journey to becoming a full time real estate agent was a natural progression. His combined experience equips him with a unique perspective and the expertise to guide his clients through every step of buying, selling, or building a home.

When he’s not working, Craig enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Tara, their three adult children—Mason, Aden, and Samantha—and their miniature golden doodle, Charley. A passionate backcountry snowboarder and off-road racing enthusiast, Craig also finds peace exploring Austin’s many greenbelts, hiking trails, and scenic outdoor spaces.

My favorite spots in Austin are the Green Belts—there are so many of them! One of the beauties of Austin is the amount of accessible green space all over and around the city. As an outdoor enthusiast, I cherish the peace and serenity of hiking, mountain biking, or simply walking through the Hill Country, surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty.
Community First is a cause I’ve been involved with for years. Helping the less fortunate find permanent housing options is deeply gratifying, whether I’m assisting with community landscaping, cleanup projects, or packaging handmade Christmas ornaments for sale. Another cause close to my heart is Operation Blue Santa, where I collect and deliver toys to less fortunate children during Christmas. Seeing the smiles on their faces is truly rewarding.
